We are pleased to introduce our Good Samaritan's Fellowship to you and sincerely hope you will attend these enjoyable activities. The purpose for this ministry is to provide a place for fellowship, encouragement, and spiritual blessing, with opportunities to serve and to be served.
Fellowship meetings are held the first Friday of every month at 6:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall. Additonally, there are a variety of programs and activities within the Good Samaritan's Fellowship:
There are several Bible studies held during each month in the homes of Good Samaritans.
Each Thursday at 2:30pm a Bible study is held at the church. We are currently studying from the Old Testament book of Zechariah. This this class is taught by Denny Hockman. Average attendance is 20+ members and refreshments are served.
Nursing Home Ministry
The Good Samaritans take this music and message ministry "on the road" to Lions Manor Nursing Home the 2nd Sunday of the month. At 2:45 pm they minister to the residents with a short message from God's Word, special music, familiar hymns, and hearty fellowship. Arthur Willison is the contact.
The First Friday Fellowships begin at 6:00 pm. The menus, music, and guest speakers vary each month. Favorite casseroles, desserts, and great food along with warm fellowship abound here.
The Good Samaritans use this phone chain to contact members and share information. It is used to remind members of First Friday Fellowships, share prayer concerns, cancellation information, and other important updates.
The Good Samaritans enjoy many opportunities to sample local live theater, shopping trips, and other events. Recent trips include: Sight and Sound in Lancaster, Music Man and Fiddler on the Roof in Morgantown, Christmas lights in Oglebay Park in Wheeling, Country House Show in Berkley Springs, and shopping at the Logan Valley and Galleria Malls.
